US Open Qualifier will be played on Alki beach Aug. 2nd & 3rd.
Another first for Alki beach!
This year the volunteers at the AVA bring you the US Open Beach Volleyball Qualifier, on August 2nd & 3rd at Alki beach. All divisions will be played including open, AA, A & novice.
This year is only the second Annual US Open and we're ramping the qualifier event up this year. As I write we are working on things like increased prize money, larger media coverage for this event and a bunch of other cool stuff for all players.
All division winners of the qualifier get an automatic birth into the 2008 US Open *finals* to be held in Santa Barbara California in September '08 with a purse of $5,000. This year is the 2nd annual Us Open Finals of Beach Volleyball spearheaded by Karch Kiraly himself.

The US Open of Beach Volleyball was created with the specific purpose of providing an opportunity for adult players to pursue a crowning achievement on a national stage. The sport continues to grow as demonstrated by the level of active participation found at the regional level. We see players actively participating on all four coasts and at unique and special centers throughout the interior of the United States.

Don't miss the Seaside Beach Volleyball Open this year in Seaside Oregon. Finishes in the AVA's Alki Grand on August 2nd & 3rd at Alki beach in Seattle, will count towards seeding for the Seaside Open this year.
